Hogsthorpe look up at the stars

Pupils from Hogsthorpe Primary School were recently visited by The StarLincs Mobile Planetarium for a day of space activities.

Children from across all year groups had the chance to learn more about the wonders of space through a range of interactive workshops, which allowed them to step inside the inflatable dome and learn through visual presentations and a guided talk through key subjects.

An experienced teacher was on-hand to talk to the children about space travel, historical journeys, light and dark, and the planets – all supported with visual displays.

Karin Nicholls, Headteacher at Hogsthorpe Primary School, commented: “It was a great experience for all of our children and they really engaged with the presentation.

“The visit has helped to support our learning in class and the pupils have been really inspired.
