Pupils enjoy outward bound success

Hogsthorpe Academy pupils have recently taken part in an exciting outdoor residential.

The pupils visited an Outward Bound Centre where they were able to take part in various outdoor adventures over the course of 5 days.

During the trip the groups showed no fear, as they took on tricky obstacle courses and other exciting activities.

The Outward Bound trip, which was organised by the David Ross Education Trust, aims to show pupils what they are capable of achieving and encourage them work as a team.

Headteacher, said: “The Outward Bound trip was a fantastic experience for our pupils.

“It was lovely to see how well they worked together, and how proud they were when they completed a day’s adventures.

“It’s really important to encourage pupils to discover new strengths and see what they are capable of. It was a joy to watch the Outward Bound activities bring pupils out of their shell and boost confidence.”
